About

I am a painter who employs automatic and intuitive techniques that are inspired by  Surrealism, Psychoanalysis and Spiritualism.
In my paintings, I am searching for a cure for the disenchantment of contemporary life. Determined spaces within seemingly infinite spaces, human bodies that become landscapes and animals that can be impossibly large or particularly small address the micro- and macrocosm that we humans navigate between. How small and irrelevant we are in the external scope of things while at the same time having an impossible vastness in our inner worlds of thoughts, feelings and fantasies. I inform my practice with these dualities of the internal and the external, chance and the determined, the rational and irrational, the real and the imaginary and blur the lines within these seeming contradictions.
